Dedicated to Elise Bauman

This site was inspired by Elise Bauman. Elise is an actor who sings sometimes. In response to the current political climate, she put out a call for people to submit audio clips about times when they had spoken up for their beliefs in situations where silence might be more comfortable or safe. I submitted a clip and it was selected. The resulting song is Watch Your Mouth which can be listened to and purchased from BandCamp.

This incident reminded me of how important political music has been in my life-long activism. Music stirs the emotions and modifies your mood. Lyrics can crystallize your thoughts, inspire you to do better, try harder. Together they can encapsulate a movement and help us all to forge the world we want to live in.
