The latest Longines A-7 Avigation Watch 1935 is modeled after the chronographs made for the U.S. Army Air Corps in the mid-1930s. The design of the Baltany S6047 is inspired by this.
The Baltany S6047 also features a cockeyed dial design, with the dialoffset angle designed to allow the pilot to read the dial without having to let go of the joystick (the equivalent of a steering wheel in an airplane).
Single-button, Monopusher Watch
The Baltany S6047 cleverly replaces the A-7's chronograph function subdial with the day-of-the-week and month function subdials of the Miyota 9122 caliber.
In order to stay true to the monopusher(single-button) look of the prototype A-7 1935 Avigation watch, We have used Baltany's original design construction to convert the two-pusher function of the Miyota 9122 caliber to be realized through a single pusher.
Vintage Pilot Style Watch
As a vintage pilot style watch, the Baltany S6047 adopts the design language of many pilot watches.
Although the dial size is only 41mm, the narrow bezel design coupled with the oversized gothic numerals make this watch look bigger than it actually is.
That’s complement by attractive blued steel hands and serif-font numerals on the dial.
The large serif-font numerals on the dial, as well as the tilted dial are designed to make it easier for pilots to read the time during flight.
More Rugged
Stainless steel cases with a polished finish are attractive, but are much more prone to nasty scratches from everyday use.
Baltany S6047 automatic has been given a signature hardened finish that allows the surface to reach a Vickers hardness rating of nearly 500HV, nearly three times that of regular 316L stainless steel. With this extra protection, it is possible to wear our watches with peace of mind and a few less nuisances.
Affordable Complete Calendar Watch
The Baltany S6047 uses the Miyota 9122 automatic movement with calendar, day, and month functions, and is a full-calendar watch with complex and luxurious features, but with an affordable price tag.

This is the second Baltany watch in my collection and I am very happy with this Type A7 1935 S6047, which I think is also the nicest micro-branded watch in my collection.
